Ep. 139 | You Can Have More of God Than You Think
With Holly Malmsten
Apple Podcasts | Spotify | YouTube
Have you ever wondered if there's more of God available to you than you're currently experiencing?
In this episode of the 100xLife Podcast, Rob Dayton sits down with longtime friend Holly Malmsten to revisit the early days of Santa Barbara House of Prayer, including Holly's story of sensing two angels in the space, and Rob's own angelic encounter from that same season.
But the real center of this conversation is what comes after. Rob and Holly dig into a truth they've both independently arrived at, that there's no ceiling on how much of God we get to experience, only the limits we've unknowingly placed in our own minds. They talk about what it means to be fully aligned with Jesus in spirit, soul, and body, why so many of us operate from emotion or craving instead of our spirit, and how something as simple as breath can bring the whole being into agreement with his love.
This is a rich, unhurried conversation between two people who've spent years learning just how much more of God is actually available.
You'll Hear
The origin story of Santa Barbara House of Prayer
Holly's experience sensing two angels present in that space
Rob's own angelic encounter, and the question that convinced him it was real
Why there's no real limit on how much of God we can experience, only the ones in our own minds
Why love, not theology, reveals God's nature working in us
What it means to be fully aligned with Jesus, spirit, soul, and body
How breathwork can bring the body into alignment with God's love
Journal Prompt
Ask God: tell me how connected I am to you. Then choose one member of the Trinity to answer, and journal the response in the first person, describing just how connected you already are.

Welcome to the 100X Life Podcast, where we activate people who desire to live the words of Jesus and experience the abundant life He promises. I'm your host, Rob Dayton, and I hope this podcast inspires you to put in the work of following Jesus.
Rob Dayton (00:36)
Hey 100x lifers, welcome back to the podcast. Nancy and I are in Santa Barbara today. So that's why the bookshelves behind me are empty. We have the privilege of coming back to our original house. the buyers of this house purchased all the furniture, so it's exactly like coming home. Don't ask me why God blessed us to be in our house, our dream house that we sold and now get to live in two months out of the year. That's just crazy. Thank you, Jesus.
But we are here and was at the beach this morning and and ran into Holly Malmstem and her husband, Ryan. And they're just such good friends. And so I'm like, Holly, I've been dying to ask you so many questions about your ministry and what you're doing and how that relates to love and 100x life. So, Holly Malmstem, welcome to the podcast.
Holly Malmsten (01:27)
Thank you so much, Rob. It was so fun to run into you and we kind of just started discussing right away, so we just thought why not continue the discussion.
Rob Dayton (01:36)
I'm totally down. if we're gonna be on a podcast, let's not have the discussion twice, let's have the discussion once and let's have it be supernatural.
Okay, so let me tell everybody a little bit about you. So the Malmstems we met the Malmstems at the beginning of our Santa Barbara House of Prayer journey.
I remember the moment we met. So we were up at Veronica Springs Church, then it was something Baptist. And that's where House of Prayer was, and Holly and Ryan came in and they were just coming. I think you'd been here for a while, but you'd moved out from Colorado.
Yeah, so you were you I think you came up to me and I'm like, so how are you doing or something or good to meet you and and then I think I ended up praying that just the joy of the Lord would come upon you. Do you remember that at all?
Holly Malmsten (02:23)
I do. I I mean I don't remember the exact words that were exchanged, but I do remember and we were just by ourselves because we just moved and we didn't know anyone and we were kind of struggling alone, which I think made it feel a lot worse. And then you came up and you were all bouncing around all joyful, and I was thinking, How is this guy so joyful? I mean, I did not feel joyful at the time. So yeah, I I remember that part.
Rob Dayton (02:47)
Yeah,
so really cool. And then we ended up, the Malmstems and the Reeves and the Daytons partnering in the House of Prayer. We took a pretty long journey. It was like a 12-year journey getting that place downtown. You may remember those of you who had listened to the interview with Jacob Reeve and that story of that. How did that how did those times occur to you? This the whole going downtown.
In in the pole dancing training center and all that.
Holly Malmsten (03:16)
I mean honestly I wasn't surprised one bit. I remember when Jacob showed us the place and it was myself and Ryan and then our other friend Bob Ryan and we went in there and it was just like you said, it was black everywhere, all the walls were black, there was black fur on the walls.
And then the places where the poles were. And we just laughed. I mean, we just thought it was hysterical. And we just, you know, it's like, why not, God? Why not pick the most defiled dark place and bring your light here? Why not? Let's do it. So we were all in and we just started praying into the atmosphere of the space. And it was such an honor to be able to do that and to be a part of witnessing that whole atmosphere just transform into something.
That the I've never seen anything like it, what it what it became. Even till this day, I've never seen anything like it or experienced anything like it.
Rob Dayton (04:07)
And and how would you describe
it? when I saw the black, I didn't I didn't smile. I was maybe a little bit behind you, and I was like, really, Jacob, is this where we're gonna be worshiping God? I'm not sure this works very well. Maybe I had a little bit too much religiosity attached to me. you said you haven't experienced anything like that before. How would you describe that thing?
That was the Santa Barbara House of Prayer.
Holly Malmsten (04:29)
Well, the Santa Barbara House of Prayer was so unique because there weren't any
religious constructs or programs. And so the atmosphere was free for God to move God to move outside of our limitations that we have in our mind. Because the limitations we can experience as much of God as we want. There actually are no limits on how much of God we can have and experience. It's only in our mind. So that atmosphere gave us the freedom to go and experience more of God that
We didn't even maybe we didn't even understand yet. We didn't have a language for yet, but it was there. And to me, the the atmosphere was the
fruit of the spirit. I mean, it was love. It was only
Rob Dayton (05:09)
Wow.
Holly Malmsten (05:09)
love there. people from all walks of life walked in, whether it was a homeless person, whether it was a drug addict, or whether it was a wealthy Montecito person, whether it was an old person or young person, every kind of race and background, people walked in, and there was there was just love. Everybody was in one accord, and we all were on in this dance together with the Father, and it was so
Beautiful, and so not only did the whole place just vibrate with the resonance of God's love, but also joy. There was so much joy there, like how you were bouncing around with me. it wasn't like, I've got to try to be joyful right now. it was just you couldn't help it. There was so much joy and life and love.
And because of that atmosphere, every person that would come in would it meet God and experience God. It wasn't just some theological head knowledge that you go and hear a good teaching. It was like, no, you go and you meet God, like the heart of God, the mind of God, the nature of the Father, the person of the Holy Spirit, the I mean, obviously the whole atmosphere was like we were in heaven seated with Christ. It was like we were there.
and we were in the physical earth as well at the same time.
Rob Dayton (06:23)
There's there's so
many things that I learned through that process and experienced. Man, I don't even know where to begin. There's so many stories, but I that totally resonates with me. we're not suggesting that you can, you know, you're gonna hear God in this space versus that space. We're not doing that. But for some reason, there was the atmosphere and I'm not a not
Unlike Jacob, and I know you're a little bit more sensitive to angelic presence, but I do remember one of the signatures, and actually didn't did end up impacting me significantly, was that there were people who were more sensitive, and I want to hear your thoughts on this, is that there were two angels that hung out in the space. And and I just want to kind of make this safe for people. I mean, the Bible's loaded with angels.
And they're there to serve us. That's what the Bible says about that. They're there to serve us. And so, if you don't believe in angels, you know, I I think it's challenging because the Bible definitely has angels. They haven't died, they're still existing. even Paul says, you might even be mistaken, you know, treat someone nice, they might even be an angel. I remember that when Peter gets out of prison and they're praying for Peter to get out of prison, the the girl goes to the door.
And and Peter's like, it's me. And she gets so excited. She goes in and she says, it's Peter at the door. And they go, no, it must be his angel. Like, what is going on here? Okay. So tell me about, do you do tell me about your sensitivity to these two angels and how how much do you think it added to the atmosphere? What what is it
Holly Malmsten (07:52)
It definitely
Rob Dayton (07:53)
about that?
Holly Malmsten (07:54)
And yeah, of course it's not about a certain space that you have to go to. Of course, that's not what it was about. It was about just creating this space where there was no limits or constraints. And so I think that was the difference. And so everybody that was showing up was on board with that idea. Like we don't want to be under any, we don't want to put God in a box. We don't want to limit anything. We want it all, you know, and that's what we were all coming for. But yeah,
Rob Dayton (08:19)
That that's
that's good. I think that that's really awesome. That's really helpful to me. And and it's the attitude we created. So when people came through the door, they would be open, they would be free, they would not be walking in judgment and no judgment over other people. And you're so what you're saying is that freedom is what is creating the environment.
Holly Malmsten (08:41)
Yes, yes. Because we partner with God. I mean, yeah, g it's it's his presence, it's his love, it all of it, he's the source, but we're in partnership, so we work together to bring his reality and his nature into expression on earth. So that's what we did. We didn't know that's what we were doing, but that's what
Rob Dayton (08:57)
We didn't know.
Holly Malmsten (08:58)
we didn't know. But yeah, there were two angels and
at the time I was doing a healing ministry there so I would show up several days a week and people would come in to get healing prayer or whatever. So when I would show up I started to when I was walking up the stairs I could hear them. I I didn't see them but I could hear them and I could feel them and they would get so excited for me to come up the stairs and I would open the door and it's like they were like yay you're here Holly's here
And they would welcome me in and at first I thought, wait, am I making that up? But the
Rob Dayton (09:30)
Right.
Holly Malmsten (09:31)
the more that you
Acknowledge the angels and you believe it and you are become aware of it, the more it becomes real. So it became a an a regular thing. Every time I would open the door, I would be greeted by the presence of these two angels, and they were so excited to work with me alongside me. That's how what it became. They worked alongside me. They were my ministering angels to me and to the person that was coming in. And so they would we
We
would work together and I knew that they were there so much that when House of Prayer was phasing out and it was about to close, I walked up the stairs one day and I didn't get it. They weren't there. And I remember
Rob Dayton (10:09)
Wow.
Holly Malmsten (10:10)
the moment where I walked up and I knew and I felt, they've moved on. And sometimes I even asked God where it because I I even got their names. I asked them their names one day. I didn't know if that was allowed, but I wanted
these beings were that would greet me help me.
Rob Dayton (10:24)
Yeah, they're named in the Bible.
Holly Malmsten (10:26)
And so I got their names and sometimes I still ask, God, are they still around? Where are they? Because there was a there was a moment when their assignment there was done and they were a gone
Rob Dayton (10:37)
Hmm.
Holly Malmsten (10:38)
Yeah.
Rob Dayton (10:38)
Yeah, it's so powerful. And I'll just tell you one story. well, there's two stories. I'll I'll tell you the the one and maybe you'll remember us, but there we actually set up the house of prayer next to a bar and Nancy and I owned the restaurant with other people in house of prayer
so people would come with their drinks. They would come with their beers and they'd walk down the hallway to this place. And so this one guy walked down the hallway and he had his beer. he's looking all around. Like he's he's I'm in front of him and he's not looking at me. He's looking at the and he's it's like he's looking at something darting across the the room space. And I'm like, hey, come on in, friend. And he's like, and then he
And then he's like almost like like he almost got hit by something. He goes, What is this place? He goes, What is this place? I go, It's the house of prayer. Come on in. You're welcome. And then he's like, What is that flying around? What I go, what do you see? What do you see flying around? He's like, There's two lights that are dancing with the music flying around. Do you remember that?
Holly Malmsten (11:38)
kinda do I kinda do remember that. Yes.
Rob Dayton (11:41)
It was it
was crazy. And I'm like, you know, it's you know, so I don't see it, but I'll I will say, and this is a really crazy moment. This is the only angelic moment that I've experienced. And I was having lunch with Nick. I don't know if you remember Nick. So he's kind of was living in the house of prayer. We had three people who were actually living in the house of prayer and praying all day. And so I'm having lunch with him, and above me,
I felt this angel's presence, and then I felt it ask me a question. Now, the reason I believe this story so wholeheartedly that this experience was real is because the question, the question blew me away. And here was the question. And I think that this actually is helpful for people to understand the privilege you have someone who is in love with Jesus. The question the angel asked me was.
What does it feel like to have God dwell in you? What? I mean, like, I I was just like, okay, first of all, you asked the right guy. Second of all, I'm like, this is gonna be crazy. And I told Nick, and then I just preached to the angel for like 20 minutes, describing the presence of God in like, and and I was getting so
intoxicated as I was talking, intoxicated with the the glory of God's love dwelling in us. And so like I after that Holly I just gotta tell you like after that I'm like okay everyone's seeing angels fine. Like
Holly Malmsten (13:14)
This
is exactly why you don't want to put limits on what
God can do. We don't want to have these confined understandings and think, that's not God, because we I mean most of us, and myself included, have operated in such a small measure of what's possible. And when you
Rob Dayton (13:29)
Yes, yes.
Holly Malmsten (13:30)
start to open to what else is possible, even if it's mysterious, even if you don't even understand it, but then you then you get to have experiences like that, which actually like you were teaching the angel, but you know how like you don't really know something until you teach it? Like by
You know, you're teaching the angel, but by teaching it, it's becoming more real. You're embodying it even more as you teach. So
Rob Dayton (13:50)
Come on. So good. I love
that. I think that's right. I think that we have to we have to take off the lid. And I think that this I
Holly Malmsten (13:57)
Take off the lid.
Rob Dayton (13:58)
think that this conversation is really gonna be helping people do that. We got to take off the lid of possibility because with God, all things are possible. We know that. We've read this. And then also Jesus invites us to actually pray.
That it would be done on earth as it is in heaven. I'm sure there's angels in heaven. I hope we all believe this. And then what else can come to earth based on that prayer that Jesus invites us to pray? one of the things that's really awesome about you, Holly, and I know that probably no one knows this from 100xLife because you know, 100xLife has become such an important
way to disciple and grow somebody into love because they're the words of Jesus. And when we were doing this, Holly and Jorah and I were actually rotating our our YouTube talks that probably still exist on the website about 100x life words of Jesus. And I wanted to call them the commands of Christ, which is legitimate. They're totally the commands of Christ.
Jesus says in the Great Commission, teaching everything I have commanded. So he even uses that word. But Holly was like, I don't want to do that. I'm not, that sounds religious to me, the commands of Christ. And she's like, let's just call them the words of Jesus. Call the words of Jesus. So everybody who's done 100x life, here is Holly Malmsten because we call them the words of Jesus because Holly Momstead insisted that's where we're gonna go. Could you give us a little bit of that story and what you were thinking there?
Holly Malmsten (15:30)
Well,
before my husband and I moved to Santa Barbara, we basically did a religious detox. We were det God brought us into a detox of religiosity. And so I had spent years just shedding and and clearing out and cleansing all of just the religious constructs and programs and ideologies that are very confining and restricting and limiting and honestly quite oppressive. And so I I had come
out of that and I I was starting to really get this bigger revelation and understanding about the father's love, about the love of God, about his heart.
And it became so real to me. And once you tap into the love of God, yeah, we know God loves us. We know God loved the world. He gave his only son. We know that, but it's it's one thing to know it here and to connect with it here in your heart. And so when when that idea kind of turns on that God is love, period. He is love. We talk about the power of God. The power of God is his love. Love is the most powerful force.
That exists. And so when I started to kind of tap into that and tune into his love.
The reason Jesus gave He was the Word. He was the Word in physical form. Jesus was everything that God wanted to say to humanity, he put it into Jesus in a physical.
Rob Dayton (16:50)
Wow.
Holly Malmsten (16:51)
And so I just felt like the commands of Christ didn't portray the nature of the Father, which is love and only love. And so I wanted, I didn't want to, I wanted to promote the true nature of the Father, not continue on with the paradigm.
That the organized, you know, church had been under for so long. So I felt like words of Jesus were his word, God's words of love to humanity. Because if you love someone, you want to give them all of your wisdom. You want to give them everything that you know, like your children. You want to, you want to pass down everything that you know so that they can live their lives well. Well, that's what God did to us in Christ. He passed on his words, his wisdom, his ways of doing life because he loves us and he wanted.
us to live life in abundance, which means to live life well. That's what life in abundance means was to live well and operate well and function at the fullest capacity that we could that was possible. And those are that's the reason for the words. So words just sounded more like they were loving. Yeah.
Rob Dayton (17:54)
Yeah, and Word of God, the Word of Jesus is
the Word of God, according to John 1. I mean, it's the only place where it's defined. and what really what it is, and that's pretty crazy. Yeah, and you don't want to limit people. I wonder if there's like any l other limitations because truly Jesus was, if he was angry at anyone, it was the religious leaders and their religiosity.
Creating systems that didn't actually bring you closer to God. They actually restricted your ability to be close to God. What what is the mo in your brain, what is the modern day restriction of religiosity that we're confronting right now?
Holly Malmsten (18:37)
That's a very good question. the modern day restriction, and I think that more and more people are kind of awakening to this higher truth, is that we are already one with God.
We were crucified with Christ
Rob Dayton (18:49)
Right now.
Holly Malmsten (18:50)
right now. It's not when you it's not because like you say a certain prayer and all of a sudden you're one with God. We were we were crucified with Christ, you know, two thousand years ago and He He took all of humanity and He took all of it onto Himself and reconciled the world back to God. So we are
Rob Dayton (19:08)
And before and before you surf
that, I love that. I'll just add one thing that just really makes it compelling for what you're saying, Holly, is that John the Baptist said, Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the Christian? The
Holly Malmsten (19:25)
The world the
Rob Dayton (19:26)
world. The world. And the word in the Greek there is cosmos, which means all created things. Jesus took away the sins of all created things.
Holly Malmsten (19:36)
That's right. That's right. So he
Did the work of restoring that unity with God. So that was already done. So we are one. We are united. We are one with God. We are in Christ. There's no separation. And I think in our lifetime, there's been this idea that there's this separation between God, you and God, and your sin is so bad that He can't look on you. And so you have to say the certain prayer, you've got to have your quiet times, you've got to fast you've got to do these certain things to keep that connection.
Connection, which is so not true, because that is flipping it into there's still things that we need to do, there's still things that we need
Rob Dayton (20:14)
We get to God.
Holly Malmsten (20:14)
to do to stay connected, but there's nothing more we can do. There's nothing more we can do to get us closer to God. We're never gonna be any closer to God than we always have been. It's just that as you grow, and the more that you understand about God and his nature and his heart, and the the more mature that you become.
and the more you experience him, you become aware. You become more aware of who you really are in unity with him and as the living expression of him on the earth.
Rob Dayton (20:44)
so cool. And I don't know if you knew this, but I actually and I don't think I wrote this in the book, but I I now refer to it very frequently as the words of Jesus are the behaviors of love.
Holly Malmsten (20:55)
They are they
Rob Dayton (20:55)
They're they're the behaviors
of love. And as I expressed to you this morning when we when we ran into each other, is this, you know, and and 100x lifers are familiar with this revelation I was I've been having about love, that all created things, everything, the invention of time, marriage, procreation, the universe, everything, molecular structures, the way the everything's held together, it's all for the design of
Drawing us to love to choose love because we're image bearers of of the Trinity, which is crazy. Somehow I love I love go being in a crowd and looking at everyone, going, wow, another little aspect of God, image of God. And we're all created for the sole purpose of choosing love and then growing our capability of love. How did how did that hit you?
in terms of like the words of Jesus, behaviors of love, like how does that resonate for you?
Holly Malmsten (21:51)
That's a good point and I like what you just said because then the behaviors of love that Jesus talks about, it becomes something, it's not because we need to do those things to be closer to God. it's that those things become the way that we shed all of the restrictions and the barriers and the constructs and the things that we've accumulated along the way
that are not allowing us to be who we really are, which is love in physical form. And so it becomes more about that. And that's really what growth is too. It's about identifying the things that are keeping you from being who you really are.
A an offspring of God. We are God's offspring. We look like Him. And so He is one in three parts of you know, He's God Christ, Holy Spirit, and we are three too. We because we look like Him. So we have a body, a soul, and a Spirit. We look like Him. And so all of our growth, all of the things we do, I love fasting. I d I do it all the time. All of those things that we do are now not to get closer to God or to somehow.
Rob Dayton (22:53)
Yes.
Holly Malmsten (22:54)
perform or do something to get more I don't even know what more approval or something. The reason we're doing it is to re shed and get rid of
Rob Dayton (23:03)
Come on.
Holly Malmsten (23:03)
the things that are that are restricting us from being who we are as God's offspring
Rob Dayton (23:07)
Mm.
Holly Malmsten (23:08)
on earth. Because
The fact is that if you're a God created being, you are his offspring. You came out of him. Just like our kids come out of us. They're different, but they came from us. We all whoever is a God created being, we came out of God, which means we are like him.
Rob Dayton (23:24)
i if God is love, we are love.
Holly Malmsten (23:26)
We are love.
That's what I'm trying to say. We are it. We are love. And so what is it in our minds?
In our emotions, in our souls, in our you know, trigger points that are preventing us from being love because it's who we are. It should be our most natural way to operate.
Rob Dayton (23:44)
Yes.
Holly Malmsten (23:45)
And that's why, I mean, at this point, you know, I've met so many people that say, they love Jesus, they're Christian, but you don't see any love coming from them. And then you can meet a person that doesn't necessarily say, I'm a Christian, but they just operate in love.
so when I see that, that used to confuse me. Like, I don't understand why they are operating in love.
Rob Dayton (24:05)
Right.
Holly Malmsten (24:05)
And these people who say that they are aren't. I don't understand that. But the reason is because whether they acknowledge Jesus or whatever, they're still his offspring. They still have the nature of love. And we all do. And so, yeah, we're new creations and
It's our nature as a new creation. It's our nature to love. That's
Rob Dayton (24:25)
Yeah, and so there's this
whole life, going to your first point, there's no barrier
Holly Malmsten (24:29)
There's no barrier.
Rob Dayton (24:30)
Jesus says it is finished. There is now no separation. We're not doing any work to make the connection. We're just resting in the connection that exists, that He's created. And then the work, if you will, becomes exercising that ability to love and to grow in our capability
Of doing what we're created to be and to do, which is love. It means we gotta love ourselves. God loves himself. Maybe that's why they're triune. know, so there's there's three to love each other, and then and then we love other people, which is these are the two greatest commandments. Jesus says the whole law is fulfilled. If we only love God with every part of our being and love our neighbors ourselves, the only action in that, those two
Words of Jesus are love.
Holly Malmsten (25:21)
Well said. Well said.
I mean that's it. That's it right there. So we're exercising our ability to love and we're growing in the capacity. Because every time you shed something that's contrary to love, which is only in our souls, those things that are contrary to love are only in our minds and our emotions. That's it. And when we're shedding those things and recognizing them and saying, No, that's not who I am, our capacity to operate in love grows. And so it's all that's what it's all about. We're we're becoming
the living expression of love here on earth. That's what our h whole purpose is for all of us.
Rob Dayton (25:56)
So good.
I love it. It's so amazing. Holly, I I super miss talking to you. I think you're one of the most fun people in my life to talk to. I can I could see Nancy and Ryan's eyes rolling when we get started because because we will go and go and go and go and go. So let's talk about this triune being I mean, you brought it up. I I I know in in the revelation I received, and I've been thinking very deeply about it now for months.
Is that the purpose of the triune being is to have us choose love and then to practice love. Again, it's a part of the creation. And let's just kind of walk through it. I want I'll I'll do the first walk through. You tell me if there's something that you would add or subtract. But in these three parts of the triune being who we are, we have this perfect person, our spirit, and our spirit according to Ephesians.
Two six this is Paul speaking that we're actually seated in heavenly places right now. That is our spirit. Our spirit is with God. This is the part that is most unified. Your language you're using. We're unified with God. There's nothing we have to do. Our spirit is completely connected. 100%. You might even say, I'm now indoctrinated into the Trinity because of what Jesus has done.
And what I've chosen to do together, like you said, it's a partnership. That is the place that's pure. And I actually I'd be curious what you think, but and I'm getting ahead of myself, but when when I think of speaking in tongues, which is a real thing, not everyone has it. You don't have to have it for Jesus to love you or to be a Christian, you but some people have this. I I recognize this it's like it's bypassing my soul.
My conscious thought, and it's just my lips speaking from that place in the spirit. Is that is that make sense to you? Does that feel right to you? Okay. So you got this spirit seated in heavenly places, and then you've got this soul, which is your mind, will, and emotions, this consciousness of thought. It's when you're actually thinking about what you're thinking about. That's your soul thinking. When you die, people who who die and have been to heaven or hell and come back to tell us about it, their consciousness lives on.
you're not blind in your consciousness. There's yeah, I don't know if you know this, but blind people, when they die, they can see in their consciousness, which is which is just crazy. And then the doctors are like, well, you know, the they come back and they describe to the doctor exactly what they saw, and they they're blind. They're blind. So they didn't, you know, how could you know that? But their conscious saw. So we actually consciousness is the place of will. That's our seat of decision, that's where we choose.
And that kind of really makes us a lot like God because none of the rest of the creation can really choose, like we can choose. We can choose to think about anything. And then within that soul, I would include, and I'm really interested what your thoughts are, the imagination. So the consciousness has this ability to actually be most like God. We can be anywhere, we can be anyone, we can tr time travel.
We can be in two places at once. I've tried in my imagination, possible. So we've got this superpower, and then you've got this flesh, which I think the Bible, not the Old Testament, the New Testament, calls flesh. Paul's really, you know, clear on what flesh is. And the flesh, the body, it includes the brain. So one of the things about 100x life that people who are listening will be familiar with is that there's this mind that's consciousness, and then there's this flesh that's a brain, and the mind gets to reprogram.
The brain. Okay, so here's the thought I want to I want to get from you and really understand you ch you give me more stuff on trying and being but I'm kind of coming around to this thought and and it relates to the the behaviors of love and following Jesus is that when our soul and our brain or our body, our flesh come into alignment on a thing.
You know, it could be, you know, for me it was sexual sin and you know, starving my imagination completely only for Nancy. You know, that whole journey that's in 100x life, my life's on display on that. Like I came into alignment. My spirit, my soul, and my brain, after a lot of exercise, came in complete alignment with that thought. And my thought is.
Is that there's probably many, many, many things, perhaps all the words of Jesus, all these aspects of love, where we have the opportunity, if we use your word exercise, another word, practice, to get alignment between the spirit and the soul and the body. And maybe that's actually true faith when you really believe is when you're fully aligned to a thing of God. Well, what that's a big intro, but like, what are your thoughts?
Holly Malmsten (30:36)
It
that's a broad topic, but honestly, this is the theme right now for where God is wanting to take humanity into a greater understanding of this right here because it's all about alignment.
It's all about alignment. I mean, that's what I've been teaching in my stuff. That this is the revelation I've been getting. This is what I've been journeying through personally. Like, okay, so we need to be in alignment. So how do you do that? And how do you stay that way? You know, this has been my process for the last probably 15 years. But
It's all about alignment. And what I have discovered is that, you know, your spirit, like you said, is the the core, your deepest part of you is your spirit. And it's, or you could say your heart. Your spirit is in your heart, right? The deepest core of you, it's the part of you that's always connected to God. Nothing, nothing can separate you. That that heart-to-heart spiritual connection can never be separated. But the idea when Christ did what he did.
And created a whole new race of people. He created the world, he reconciled the world back to the Father and created a whole new race of people. So as new creation beings, now the idea, and this was God's always God's original intent,
Rob Dayton (31:48)
Always.
Holly Malmsten (31:49)
just it got it got tweaked along the way. But then Jesus said, okay, we're gonna redo it. Because Jesus was the second Adam. So we're no longer in the seed line of Adam. We're not Jesus started
Rob Dayton (31:59)
Wow.
Holly Malmsten (32:00)
in the bloodline, we're in his. And so the idea.
is for our spirit being to govern to run us our spirits are supposed to be at the front governing and in charge of our souls and our bodies and you know
We haven't been operating like that only because we didn't know. Most people walking around, whether they're Christian or not, are letting their emotions run them, their thought patterns run them, or their physical cravings and their body run them. And that's just not the correct order. Our spirits are meant to be the dominating part of us in submission to God. So we're in union with God, our spirits run us, and then the soul and the body are submitting.
underneath that. Now you can take it further because that doesn't mean you can that you can't ignore the soul and the body. The soul, like you said, the imagination is in the soul. The will is in the soul. The imagination is the one of the most underrated parts of us that we need to we need to
Rob Dayton (32:57)
Yes.
Holly Malmsten (32:58)
unpack because the imagination is how you how God communicates something spiritual to our earthly minds.
It's gonna come through the imagination oftentimes. And so
The soul cannot be neglected. We don't want to live from our emotions. You you can't let your thoughts dictate your life either. You can't just because you think something doesn't mean it's true. I mean, your thoughts can be all over the place. You can have a thought that came from something your third grade teacher said to you and that made you feel stupid. That there are thoughts are not they're they're just processors, our minds are processors of information. That's it. So you want your spirit to run you, your soul
Submitted under there, and when your soul, so I see it like this spirit, soul, when the soul is in submission to the spirit, then what's in the spirit is gonna come through the soul correctly. So then God's mind, his thoughts, his emotions, those are gonna come through you instead of yours that are based on who knows what. Maybe someone cut you off in traffic and you blew up, like whatever, you know.
our soul is meant to be almost like the buffer, the bridge between the
Rob Dayton (34:05)
Come on.
Holly Malmsten (34:06)
spiritual and the physical. So when your soul is receiving from the spirit, then your soul is going to dictate what your brain and nervous system pick up because your brain and nervous system are getting signals from what? From your thoughts and your emotions and your beliefs. So in your soul, if you have negative thoughts, if you have negative beliefs about yourself, about God, about people, like
All men are, creepy or whatever. If you have thoughts in your soul, emo negative emotions that you never got healed from, That is what is going to communicate to your nervous system. So then
I mean I could go I could go really broad with this, but you cannot neglect the soul and you cannot neglect the body. The body, it turns out, your body, we are the temple. That's not just a spiritual concept. We are the physical structure. What was the temple? It was a physical structure that contained the glory of God and contained his presence. Our bodies are the physical structures of of the we're of the divine.
God Himself. So you
Rob Dayton (35:08)
Come on.
Holly Malmsten (35:09)
can't neglect the body, you can't neglect the soul. They just need to be aligned in the proper order so that everything that belongs to us in our spirits is coming into the soul and then communicated correctly to the body, to the nervous system. And when that happens, when we're in alignment and that flow is flowing.
fully, that's when we're gonna start to emit everything. We're gonna start to emit love. We're gonna start to emit joy, emit God's presence, emit light. And we've all had situations where that's happened in little increments, but I feel
Rob Dayton (35:42)
Yes.
Holly Malmsten (35:42)
like we're gonna come to a time where people are gonna walk be walking around and literally emitting out of their cells the love of God. And you don't need to what?
Rob Dayton (35:51)
Well, and we already know, we already know
from people who have had near-death experiences, when they get to heaven, that's exactly what they experience. They're saying, they're saying, I don't even need to talk to you, and I could feel love being emitted And I was emiting love to the and and so there's it's just like all this construct of creation is completely designed for it. So of course.
As we mature, and you know, I think it was Isaiah who said that the that the kingdom of heaven is completely expanding all the time on earth. So the kingdom of heaven is expanding. Of course, we're gonna we're gonna experience more and more of what it's like to be in heaven. And I just love what you're talking about. I I I actually
was a little challenged by because I've heard so many times the soul is the mind will and emotions. I've heard that, I don't know, 30 years. And I was challenging that I was like, well, maybe the emotions are actually in the body. But then in the new research about this, what you're saying, your mind, who knows if it's true, it's giving, sorry, your brain is feeding these things from your past.
they're rogue thoughts. They're mainly your brain structure and it's and it's the way it talks to itself is is cooked by age seven. So like you're there's very little you're adding to, and then all these, all these thoughts are constantly measuring up. And the reason why now I truly am on board with the soul is the mind will and emotions is because the mind gets to decide and choose what is true.
So if if something's a lie, but you treat it as true, you will carry the emotions of the lie. Can you tell me more about that? I mean, it's just been so ill illuminating.
Holly Malmsten (37:34)
I mean
goes both
ways. It goes both ways because when you're receiving because we're God everything that God has in his heart, all of his wisdom, all of his love, all everything, he's constantly it's constantly flowing to us. And so when that flow of who he is in our spirits is coming through in our souls and our thoughts and emotions or beliefs are in tune with his, then yeah, it it's just an overflow. It's just gonna overflow
And our our soul and our body are constantly communicating back and forth because our mind and emotions are communicating to our body. If ever are we are we safe? Are we okay? Is there a threat? Do you need to protect yourself? Do you need to you know shut down right now? So
Rob Dayton (38:16)
What what percentage of people do you think, Holly, don't even know there's a triune being talking amongst itself?
Holly Malmsten (38:24)
okay, do you want me to give you the truth? Okay, so I've I've
Rob Dayton (38:26)
Please, I want the truth. I've been waiting for the truth.
Holly Malmsten (38:30)
do I've been in my backgrounds in psychotherapy. I've been doing I did inner healing ministry and now I do more of a holistic health approach, but over the years I have seen hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of believers, and I would say a majority of them are
not aligned and connected in that way. Not because they're doing something wrong.
Rob Dayton (38:50)
And do you do they also not
aware that they're a triune being? Yeah.
Holly Malmsten (38:55)
They're not aware. No.
Rob Dayton (38:56)
Because I I I and I teach this in in Christian circles and non-Christian circles, it doesn't really matter. Is that you can notice what thoughts are arising if you just notice the thought and just just detach from it a little bit and just to observe and evaluate the thought, knowing primarily it's that might not be true.
and then Jesus says, hey, if if you want to come into the kingdom, you need to repent and believe. This is the first word of Jesus. Repent. Change the way you think and believe these behaviors of love, which means you've got to be critical about those thoughts that are arising within you in order for you to even be healthy. So if you don't know that you're a triumph being,
If you don't know that this is how it's functioning and you don't notice these thoughts that are arising from your flesh, how would you know? How would you even judge? I don't even know how that would work.
Holly Malmsten (39:49)
Yeah.
And most people have no idea what they're thinking, what they're feeling, what they're believing. I mean, and this and I think that that's why you know, the kingdom of God is growing on the earth because we're growing in our understanding of this right now. This is such an exciting
Rob Dayton (40:03)
Come on.
Holly Malmsten (40:03)
time to be alive. Because I think the reason why I would say eight and a half out of ten people are completely unaware of their being and not even and completely disconnected from it, it's because we just didn't know.
We just didn't know. But once you realize it, it's all over the Bible. It says, be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Why would we have to renew our mind? Why would God say to renew our mind if we didn't have to do anything? And it's so it's all about becoming aware, like waking up to yourself. What am I thinking? What am I feeling? If I have a thought that is not that is contrary to I am loved and supported and taken care of by God, if I have a thought that's contrary to that, I now
Go, whoa, that's not my thought. I don't I don't consent to that thought, and I just shut it down right away because I don't care where it's coming from, it's just not true, and it's not anything, it's just some insecurity, or it's my nervous system trying to, you know, give me the warning light, like be careful, be careful,
Rob Dayton (41:01)
I
like that. It's not my thought.
Holly Malmsten (41:03)
Yeah, but most people are not aware at all of of themselves. And I think that we're heading into that. And it doesn't mean that you have to walk around analyzing yourself all the time. It doesn't mean
Rob Dayton (41:15)
Right.
Holly Malmsten (41:15)
that. It's and and you can't turn it into another striving thing either.
Rob Dayton (41:19)
No.
Holly Malmsten (41:20)
But people have this idea, and I think it's because it's what we've been taught. you believe in Jesus, you love God. Well, every you're it's all you're good, like everything's okay, but that's
Not exactly the truth because yes, Jesus did the work, He paid the price, He r recreated us, but we still have a responsibility because we have a will, because we have the ability to choose what we think, what we entertain, the emotions that
Rob Dayton (41:46)
What we imagine
Holly Malmsten (41:47)
what we imagine, the emotions that we dwell on and we can't let go. Like we choose that whether we are aware of it or not. And this is what really has been
Bothering me is that so many people will say, I'm getting attacked. I'm getting I'm under attack. And
Rob Dayton (42:01)
Right.
Holly Malmsten (42:02)
I won't say, No, you're not being attacked. These are your own thoughts. These are your own thoughts.
Rob Dayton (42:05)
You're doing it to yourself.
Holly Malmsten (42:07)
This is your own mindset that you've created that you're just becoming aware of. You're not being attacked. And so
Rob Dayton (42:13)
Yeah, the the enemy is
small, defeated, weak, you know, has no authority. Jesus said, all authority on heaven and earth has been given to me, which means someone else has absolutely zero. And so when we say I'm being attacked, we kind of give I think way too much credit to the enemy. When it's just this inside challenge. What what would what could what could someone benefit right now? if they were to embrace that there's this body-mind.
This is body, soul, and spirit, triune being. And in 100x life, we like to say your mind has to take authority over the body, the flesh, and the brain, and then give that authority to the spirit to lead. That's that is kind of the rubric of what we're growing in. what would you say to someone that said, hey, this is a really good hack to get more alignment between those three?
Holly Malmsten (43:03)
Okay, I have several. I have several
Rob Dayton (43:05)
Come on.
Holly Malmsten (43:06)
hacks. Number one, and this is kind of I've been experimenting with this for a while. I always experiment on myself for a long time before I share it. But this is one that
Because I used to be I was very sensitive growing up. I would feel like if I was around another person that was going through some stuff, or even if I'd walk into a room where there was a lot of different things, the atmosphere, it would just crush me. I mean I would walk away feeling just so heavy and depleted and I got to the point where I couldn't function and so I shut that d I literally shut down my senses, my emotions because I couldn't
Rob Dayton (43:40)
Like that you're like and I would c
categorize those as your gifts.
Holly Malmsten (43:43)
Yes, yes. So several years ago I had a ask God to revive it. I'm sorry I shut that's what I'm saying. Your soul is important. It's not that it's irrelevant. If y if your soul is not aligned, awake, and active, then your body can't take it on. And we're meant to embody all of this. We're we have to embody love and all of the things. But so this is what I do now.
in my journey to figure out, okay, so what do I do with these things that I feel all the time? What do I do with that? And this is what I've been doing. So whether it's a thought, like a rogue thought that runs through your mind that you you catch because you know the nature of God and you know your identity as his son, his beloved son that has a loving father, when you when that becomes true, then the thoughts become more obvious when you have a thought that is contrary to that. So if you have a negative thought.
Thought that's false or negative or a lie or that's causing you shame or guilt or fear or making you feel like you're unworthy, any of those things, you don't need to analyze the thought really or judge it. You just let it pass through and you just observe it.
Rob Dayton (44:44)
So it's almost like it's almost
like you you you view or imagine the thought as completely detached from you.
Holly Malmsten (44:50)
It's detached. It's not you. It's i it doesn't define you. So you let it move through and you just notice it, but you let it move through. And sometimes I even say, Thank you to my mind for trying to protect me or trying to get my attention. Thank you. But you know, keep moving. That kind of thing. So you if if you if you deny that it's there, sometimes those thought patterns can become stuck. If you just say, I'm
Rob Dayton (45:12)
Or reinforced.
Holly Malmsten (45:13)
not gonna be afraid, I'm not gonna be afraid, I'm not gonna be afraid, but then those fearful thoughts are can still
be there. So just because you're saying it doesn't mean that it goes away. So the way that to get it to just dismantle it is to let it pass through without reacting to it at all. It just like a cloud passing by. The same thing with emotions. Sometimes you'll just feel like
You'll just be walking around. I'm I'm I'm saying me. I'm assuming a lot of people have this where you're just walking around and everything is fine and all of a sudden you just feel like a heaviness or you feel an anxiousness or you feel whatever it is, you just have these feelings and the same thing instead of being like, no, no, no.
Rebuke you, the Lord rebuke you, or whatever. Instead of that or freaking out about it or trying to shut it down, instead of trying because when you try to shut it down, that's just gonna store it. Because once an emotion is triggered in the nervous system, it starts to circulate and you can't stop the circulation. The only thing you can do is let it complete its cycle. So if you try to shut it down before it completes its cycle, it just gets repressed, it gets stored in the body. So you don't want to do that either. So it's the same thing.
have a strong negative emotion, it's okay. It's okay to feel afraid. It's okay to feel worried. It's okay to feel insecure. It's okay to feel discouraged. Those are common human experiences from living in a fallen world. It's okay to feel those. That doesn't mean they're true. It doesn't mean that they're part of you. It doesn't mean that it's your that they define you. So the same thing, you let the emotions almost just like pass through like a wave.
Like it just passes through, and you and you and the more you do that, you're training your nervous system like, I can feel negative things without it affecting me. I can feel negative things. I'm okay.
Rob Dayton (46:55)
It's almost like you're letting it go.
Holly Malmsten (46:57)
Yeah. And you're you're allowing it to complete its cycle, and the more the nervous system learns to feel things safely.
Then it doesn't affect you. It it comes you may even feel the sensation in your body of like my body wants to panic right now. My body wants to run away. My body wants to hide. My body wants to detach. You may even feel that, but that's okay. I feel it. Okay. Just keep going, just keep going, just keep going.
Rob Dayton (47:21)
It's just a thought, it's just passing through.
Holly Malmsten (47:23)
It just passes through and it's amazing that it just ends. It it lasts maybe for a couple minutes and then it's gone. And that's why.
Rob Dayton (47:31)
And the opposite might
be, the standard operating procedure for a lot of people is they might, and I've done this plenty of times, is just room, you ruminate on the thought, and then you you
Holly Malmsten (47:40)
Ruminate. Yep.
Rob Dayton (47:42)
start attaching the the power of your soul, its ability to imagine, and you start using your imagination to accentuate and magnify the bad thought. And and and that's when you're you're training, you're aligning to fear.
Instead of aligning to love. That's when you're aligning to fear. So I love this, super practical. We're gonna watch those emotions or those those thoughts that might cause an emotion. We're gonna watch the thought. We're just and then we're just gonna let it go. We're gonna watch it go by. particularly we're gonna watch the ones that go by if they don't align with love, they don't align with God, then we're watching them go by. But if the thought, if something comes up that aligns with love, what do I do then?
Holly Malmsten (48:25)
You choose it. Then like you choose
Rob Dayton (48:26)
You choose it. Do I do I embrace it? Do I
magnify it in my imagination? I mean, I can give you, I
Holly Malmsten (48:31)
So when you
Rob Dayton (48:32)
can give you an exact example of how this happened.
Holly Malmsten (48:35)
Okay.
Rob Dayton (48:35)
Nancy and I went to a concert for the first time in Bend. It's it's kind of like the Santa Barbara Bowl outside next to the river. And it was a Sarah McLaughlin concert. And so there was a lot of different types of people here. And I just sat in my chair. Nancy was talking with our with our neighbor who got us the tickets.
And I just sat and I just watched everybody and just and I started to ruminate and about how everyone was in God's image and how God loved everyone so much. And I just let it amplify in my imagination about what it looked like. And then I started feeling like this real incredible contentment and peace and joy mixed together. That was a that's an example of me amplifying a good thought.
What what do you think about that?
Holly Malmsten (49:22)
So
so you're exactly right. And that's what you want to do is amplify it, but you can't do that if you don't know what you're choosing. So, like when the negative thoughts go through or the negative emotions go through and that is running you, you can't choose against it because you don't even know that it's there. Once you observe it without analyzing it, without judging it as good or bad, it's just something coming through, then
Rob Dayton (49:45)
Not something you're you you're a bad
person because you had the thought. That's not
Holly Malmsten (49:49)
Right.
Right.
So once you can see it and you let it pass through, then you can choose what's true. So then sometimes I might go, once it passes through, if I have a thought like, I'm just an example like, I'm a bad mom or something like that, because I didn't do this, this, and this. If I have a thought like that, I'm just like, okay, I'm letting it pass through. And once the sensation is gone out of my body, now it only takes me like a minute, maybe less. Then I go, what's
Rob Dayton (50:13)
You get better.
Holly Malmsten (50:14)
true? Okay, what is true? And then you use like you said, you start.
to this is what I have taught people you think it you feel it you see it imagine it and then you
Hold it. You hold it until you begin to resonate that thing. And so that seems to be the formula. Think it, see it, imagine it, and feel it. And the thing is, is that we can choose, you can change an emotion. You could, if you're frustrated, you can stop, you can change it to a different emotion. If you you can change your thoughts. That's why the that's why the Bible, it talks about it all the time.
Rob Dayton (50:45)
That's why Jesus
says to do it.
Holly Malmsten (50:47)
Yeah, so just because you have a thought doesn't mean it's you and doesn't mean you have to ruminate on it and accept it. So you choose truth, you choose love, you choose what's life-giving, you choose what you don't want to consent to, you think about it, you dwell you think about it, you imagine it, you see it, and you feel it until it becomes your embodied reality.
Rob Dayton (51:10)
So, what I'm
noting you say about this, Holly, is that then we're talking about negative ones or fear-based thoughts and then love-based thoughts. those would be the opposites in my mind. And then we're going to let the fear-based one pass by without judgment. we're not going to judge ourselves or or the thought, and we're going to release that. And then when we get one that's full of love, we're going to amplify it. We're going to really dwell on it. We're going to expand it with our imagination.
this occurs to me as the perfect strategy for changing the way you think.
What are your thoughts? Like, like if this is this is this the Jesus strategy of changing the way you think?
Holly Malmsten (51:51)
This is the Jesus strategy, and can I add just one more piece to it that I started
Rob Dayton (51:54)
We please.
Holly Malmsten (51:56)
adding? So you can use your breath to send different signals to your brain and your nervous system. So in order to really amplify this to the degree that your brain and your nervous system are able to pick it up and then begin to send the same signals to your body, you can use your breath to do it. God breathed into Adam the breath of life. Breath is actually a spiritual force and you can use it as a tool.
So, this is what I've been doing recently. There are a bunch of a bunch of different breathing patterns that are out there, and it's because they work, they're tools. So you put your hand on your heart, because this has been scientifically studied, putting your hand on your heart sends a calming signal to your brain and tells your brain that everything's okay. And you take three deep breaths in, and as you breathe in, you're breathing from your diaphragm, and you're imagining your heart expanding like a balloon and feeling
filling with God's love and his light and his life
Rob Dayton (52:50)
Wow.
Holly Malmsten (52:50)
and his presence. And then as you exhale, you're letting go of of all the things that you've been thinking and feeling that don't align with that. And you're you're exhaling it out of your body. And so you do it three times. You want to do it?
Rob Dayton (53:02)
Yeah, let's do it. Yeah, let's do it.
Holly Malmsten (53:02)
Do you want to do that now? Okay. So hand
on your heart, you're gonna inhale for four, and then you're gonna exhale for four. As you breathe in, you're gonna say something to yourself, like, I am in Christ. And as you exhale, Christ is in something that.
Rob Dayton (53:14)
Some truth from Jesus.
Holly Malmsten (53:16)
True. Okay, so we're inhaling, imagining our hearts expanding like a balloon with God's love. And exhale.
Again, inhale, I am one with Christ. Exhale, Christ is one with me. One more time. I am one with Christ. Exhale. Christ is
Rob Dayton (53:30)
This is
Holly Malmsten (53:31)
one with me. And there you go. And you can do that three to five times. And so you that is amplifying the signal going to your body. That's what that's doing. And this she's the two.
Rob Dayton (53:41)
So so cool. And I'll just
I'll just add more science to it just because I I'm tracking with you. And this is been there's a lot of science. In fact, within my Whoop app, which is a health app, there's two forms of breathing that completely change how your body functions. The one is the the hyperventilating breathing, which you want more cortisol in the morning. It really awakens the body completely and all its cells.
And then the one I'm doing constantly when I go to bed is it's kind of the sigh. I think it's called the sigh, where you you breathe in very quickly as much as you can, and then you very, very slowly releases l release the breath. That actually calms all the cells and and your heart starts beating slower and it just prepares you for sleep. So, like, yes, that makes total sense that the way we breathe, and and how many people don't use the tool of breath?
To come in alignment with love and to actually navigate their body in a healthy way. So people who are listening, 100X Lifers, we invite you to do that. I invite you to replay that with Holly and have her walk you through that one again. I could totally feel it. and I just wanna also invite our listeners into this notion of alignment of the triune being.
And that you're actually looking at your thoughts, which thoughts are fear-based, let's just let them pass by, which thoughts are love-based, let's amplify, let's use your imagination, let's lean in with our emotions into the love-based thoughts. any final words like from you, Holly, about how we increase our ability to love? Is it is as simply as alignment? Is there anything else to it?
Holly Malmsten (55:21)
I think that it's all about
The the things that we know are true. I think that most people it's been just kind of a head knowledge. And I think it's about taking what we know in our head and it becoming true in our spirits, in our hearts, and then we need to embody it. So not just it's not just a concept, it's not just a phrase we say or something like that, but really embodying it fully. And I think that the way you do that is by
I think it starts from within. I don't think there's something out here that we need to get. I don't think there's we don't lack something that we need to get to make that happen. It's more about connecting internally, getting that internal alignment and connection with yourself so that all the truths and realities of God's heart and mind and nature and who he is to us and who he is in us, so that becomes so real in us. It becomes so
Rob Dayton (56:13)
Okay.
Holly Malmsten (56:14)
real that the other
Others just start to dismantle, they just start to fall away, just like when you turn on a light and the darkness is gone. the more filled we are internally with God's love and presence and light and truth, it's just an overflow. It's just how it is. And I I I mean, I don't think there is I'm like I I'm sure there are little things you can do, like we just said, but we we want to have a formula a lot of times, is to formulize that. But I think it's about
Using your will, like you said, to choose it, being willing to go deeper into understanding the love, how love you are a beloved son. You are a beloved son that looks like your father, that has everything that he has, he gives to you. And so taking that idea from, yeah, I've heard that before, that sounds nice, to embodying that reality fully.
Rob Dayton (57:03)
It's
it's so good. I think that you're kind of going back to something you said first, which I think can be a baby step for so many people, maybe a giant step for so many people, is just to believe and train your your mind to believe everything I need is dwelling in me right now. That would be the Trinity. John 14 says clearly that all all three are dwelling in you. Jesus, Father, you are the Father's house.
It's not the building you're attending on Sunday. You are the Father's house. You are connected with love. Joy is dwelling in you. Peace is dwelling in you. Hope. You are full of hope. because the Trinity is dwelling in you, you are fully connected. There is no block. There is nothing dividing us from complete relationship, complete conversation, complete flow of love. But we've got to believe it. We have to change the way we think. So I think.
Maybe the journal prompt for people, if you're looking for something and you want to hear from the Trinity, is let's do it like this. Hey God, tell me how connected I am to you. And then what I want you to do is I want you to choose a member of the Trinity to answer the question and then write in the first person from that member of the Trinity to explain how connected you are to God. You are going to be blown away when you hear.
just how strong that connection is with God. I'm getting like Holy Ghost goose bumps just saying it. You're gonna you're gonna explode and and come to a different place just by starting there and then maybe replay the the podcast because we got steps that we're talking about after that. But just believing there's no barrier between you and God. Nothing. Don't even look up when you pray to God. I know Jesus did that so it's not illegal, but maybe look in the mirror.
one of the things Jacob said, and I said this on the interview with him, is he taught me that we we actually are are praying less to Jesus and we're praying more from Jesus because we are indoctrinated in the Trinity. There is no separation. So we're really praying from them. What if you thought that way? What if you led your life thinking that there is no separation? I'm completely being loved right now, have a resource of joy, of peace, of hope, living and dwelling in me.
my gosh. I hope that's a resource for you guys. Holly Malmstem thank you so much for coming to the podcast.
Holly Malmsten (59:26)
